Thanks Sepiana, I just installed the update. Would you happen to know if the functionality of ACR 9.0 is standard across Photoshop Elements, CS6 and CC?
The Elements ACR version have less features than the Photoshop version, but they are identical. You get the 'basic' panel (not basic at all, I'd call it the 'fundamental' panel and the detail panel (sharpening and denoising). The missing panels cover less necessary features which are supposed to be dealt with in the editor itself after the conversion.
Thanks so much for enlightening me as I was very curious whether it was the same across the various platforms. Would you (or anyone else) know what the differences are between the new version of ACR and the previous version in PSE 13?
I downloaded ACR 9 a little while ago to my download folder but I can't open it. The question now become's ,is ACR 9 intended to be used only with PSE 13?
There should be no need to download the ACR 9.0 update for Elements 13. It is all done automatically via the Adobe Application Manager. Just go to Help>Updates.
And, yes, ACR 9.0 is compatible with Elements 13 only; you cannot install it in earlier versions. I should say though -- you can install it but it won't work. When you open the RAW Converter you will get an error message.
