Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else.
Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme.
You are allowed to do some photoshopping.
You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.

This one should not be a problem, after spending the last three months in the desert not much was green, but as we head back into the Pacific Northwest I will have lots of photo ops.

Our last day in Northern California and after much needed rain thanks to El Nino it's very green and while in a State Park today spotted this also very green vehicle getting charged up for the days work - a GEM eL XD I believe

That's an unusual Green (location wise -- on a duck). I love the sharp details in the feathers. Great capture!

Our last day in Northern California and after much needed rain thanks to El Nino it's very green and while in a State Park today spotted this also very green vehicle getting charged up for the days work - a GEM eL XD I believe
Tony Not trying to diminish the photo idea, that's great, but I do take issue with use of the overuse of "green" with electric vehicles. Depending on location, it can take as much or more fossil fuel to generate the power to charge that vehicle as it would to drive a conventionally powered one. It's actually less efficient to burn fuel to make electricity, then convert that electricity back into motion. |

Such distinctions are important and need to be made. I certainly do not disagree with you, but backing up even further I think the efforts to develop this technology *may* pay dividends in the future. Today it may be less efficient, but I do hope we can find energy sources in the future that do not depend on fossil fuels that will allow us to power such devices with less of a downside environmentally and economically. |

In addition, there are circumstances where even the current technology is effective, particularly in areas where the power for recharging comes from renewable resources such as hydro or wind, or to some extent from nuclear power, which although not actually renewable, creates pollutants that tend to be more easily handled. |

On a fog walk at Clearwater Beach this morning, no fog, but some green umbrellas!! Tomorrow should be a great day for the seeing of green!!!!

What a capture! I love everything about this image -- the bold and bright colors (So Brazilian!!!), the details, the perspective.
I am curious. How low to the ground did you get to shoot this? The angle (perspective) made all the difference. |
