The gallery this week was full of lovely surprises, here are some that caught my eye.

Kathylee / out early - Lots of interesting vertical lines in this image, plus the B&W treatment and the capture of the sun's rays coming through the tree provides a nice balance of light and shade.

alexr / Iris foetidissima - I'm drawn to those 3 bright pops of red berries, but I can't help imagining something more sinister that's happening in the pod below, almost like it is smiling somehow.

hmca / Colter Bay Sunset2 - I love this sunset scene, beautifully composed with plenty of areas for the eyes to drink in, the cloud's reflection in the foreground is magical.

dandc / Studley Royal Water Garden - Simply gorgeous, lovely warm tones, great scenery, classical building, autumn colours, water features all give this image such a lovely calming and peaceful feeling.
