Hi Rita, The scene you have chosen and the way you have blended the image and its reflection into it is sensational. Personally, I am leaning towards your v2 primarily because the boat (which is the subject of the image) stands out a little more than in v1. While looking at your v2, I am thinking and visualising in my mind how could the boat stand out even more. I like where v2 is potentially alluding to by the way you have desaturated or removed most of the colour by other means. I feel in my mind that if you made everything in the image except the boat and its reflection B&W, the boat (with its colour tones somewhere between v1 and v2) would then really, really pop from the image. And to help lead the viewer's eyes even more to the boat perhaps cropping out the water below the reflection of the reeds and placing the boat closer to the bottom right "Rule of Thirds" intersection would make use of the reeds and shadows on the right side of the image as leading lines to the boat. Anyway, just my 2c worth of food for thought |
