Greetings, all,
I've always owned laptops, never a desktop. It's time for a new one. The Toshiba I currently own has a screen whose position I have to adjust frequently while viewing and editing photos to see the color correctly. Photos on my iPad always look good, and on a recent trip there were a couple of people editing photos on laptop screens that didn't need adjusting.
My question is: What do I look for, screen-wise, while I shop? What is the descriptive phrase or acronym for a screen that looks good from any angle?
Please don't get too techy on me here. Use simple words when possible. Thanks.

The technology that gives those wide viewing angles is called IPS or In Plane Switching. That’s what recent iPads use. How good it is does vary though so it’s always best to try before you buy.

Thanks for that info. I've started looking at some brands that have that feature.
