I did get to try it in the new Photoshop CC and it does work rather well. I tried it on a photo from a nearby landing strip where the weather vane is a small plane. I've done the same thing before using Content Aware fill in Photoshop Elements and you can get much the same result but it just takes a bit longer. Even with this latest version I still had to do some content aware touch-up so it's certainly not perfect and, as always, the examples you'll see are rather carefully selected. But the content aware technology is certainly clever and getting better with time.
