Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread.
- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.
This week’s theme was a joint suggestion by Dennis and Brenda -- dennis9 . (Thanks, Dennis and Brenda!) In their own words, this is what the Before & After theme is all about.
Before & after -- Would require two photos e.g. a meal, then an empty plate, a glass full and empty, a DIY project someone might be proud to show, bits of a puzzle and the puzzle completed.

Here I wanted to also capture the reflection of the sun off the building in the composition, so I didn't have too many options for composition.
After looking at the image on my computer I felt there wasn't enough contrast/differentiation between the building and the background sky, so I played around a bit with a series of Hue/Saturation, Levels and Brightness/Contrast Adjustment Layers. At the end I also applied a radial blur to the sky.
Poppy at mid-afternoon under clouds but before the rain and then in evening after the rain.
