Beware of fraudulent emails. I am a frequent Amazon shopper so it didn't surprise me that I had received and email from them. Only this wasn't from them, I reported this to Amazon ... below is their response

Sad that it’s come down to this. I never click on any link — NEVER. If something looks interesting or needs investigating, I contact the site from their home base.

Same goes for phone calls. I let all phone calls go to voice mail. If it’s important, they will leave a message. If they leave a message and I do not know them, I do not return the call. Been doing this for years and for some odd reason (read sarcasm here) I have never missed anything important.

On my cell phone, I block all numbers that do not leave messages. It’s probably futile, but I get satisfaction in being in control - as much control as we have over these evil doers.

Please run any concerns you have past another person. If you ask a neighbor or family member their opinion, you will soon find out that all these calls and emails are fake and others have been getting the same contacts.

And by the way, the government does not want to be paid in iTunes cards. No one but iTunes wants to be paid in iTunes cards. I can’t believe anyone would fall for this, but I personally know someone who did. Did she run this past her husband or friends for a second opinion? Nope

A lot of people in the UK are getting phone calls, reputedly from Amazon.
A friend has had several - and she doesn't even have an account with Amazon. . . she gets me to order things for her.

These people are getting even more devious now.
A programme on TV last week, was about spammers, hackers, etc.

A lady got a call, something about bank fraud. She wouldn't give him her details, so was told to dial 999 (our emergency number), and ask for Inspector . . .

She did that, and ended up losing her life savings.
They had done something to her phone line, so that as soon as she dialed 999, she was connected back to these people.

I am like Janice. It is an evil world we live in now.
