- Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. - Photoshopping is allowed but should be kept to the basics only rather than a total transformation. - Grab your camera, experiment, and, most of all, have fun.

Today was our annual "Photos with Santa" event where the camera club takes pictures of local kids with Santa. With two cameras tethered to laptops running Lightroom and a couple of printers we are able to turn out finished 4x6 prints in less than a minute so can get through a lot of kids. The background is set up and decorated by the local community theatre. At the end of the event I had to take one last picture of Santa before we took down the scenery. He does look rather exhausted!
And I had to stop by a local house that is always well decorated to see what they'd added for this season..
About 300 meters west of our house is the Kin Shelter, built by the Kinsmen and Kinettes and managed by the Town of Coaldale. They put lights up in the trees and decorated the facility and are hosting socials two nights a week until Christmas. I never went into the shelter, but think they serve some sort of grog. Folks were milling about a firepit and cooking marshmallows. A "hayride" wagon brought some folks. Since the horses were decorated with LED lights a photo had to be taken. I quite like this photo. I removed the glare of a streetlight above the wagon. The bright light over the horse head was on the wagon.
