Old is relative isn't it? These roses are from Dec. 14th. They are certainly not fresh anymore but have a unique beauty due to their age. I have tried for three days to take a picture that reflects their past-prime appeal and am finally satisfied with this one.

This old power station sits beside the Thames at Chelsea. It opened in 1905 and at its peak supplied power to the entire London Underground network. Coal fired, it was decommissioned and finally closed in 2002 but is currently being converted into residential and retail units. Its iconic façade and twin chimneys will continue to be familiar landmark.
The timing of this challenge is perfect. This is a toy that my wife's grandmother handed down to her mother - we suspect that it dates back to the late 1890's. We use it as a Christmas Tree decoration.
