Thank you all for your submissions to this fortnight's IOW. 
My two honourable mentions are as follows:

The whole concept just makes me smile and is so cleverly done. I love the possibilities for interpretation - are the letters flying out of the book or are they settling into it? And the background texture adds subtlety and a fantastical feeling.

Oh how poignant and subtle it almost brings a lump to my throat (I'm turning into a right soppy old sod). A lone bird either heading home or setting off for a new adventure. Silhouetted against a lovely sunset. Beautifully placed right at the edge of the frame and against the darker cloud so as not to interfere with that great lighting.
Both great images but my IOW this time around is deany and Wheels Up Time:

I have always loved deany's artistic visions but this has shifted into a new and great direction. I love the abstract repetitions of the chains together with the perpendicular shafts forming a very dynamic image. And the oily black colour selected complements the subject beautifully.
So well done to everyone for their submissions this time around; I'm looking forward to seeing what you all create next.
