I've encountered two instances where my PSE15 wants to connect to the internet. In editor it is when I try to access a background. In organizer it is when I try to create a new Places tag. I can't find a way to tell it there is a connection, just use it. The PSE15 Help manual is silent on this. My product is registered with Adobe. I never had this issue come up with previous versions. Am I missing a setting or should I just do a reinstall and hope?

Many thanks to sargenta1 and michelb for your responses. Happily, I found a solution to my problem.
Organizer will Reconnect files that were moved without File>Move, but not files it thinks are still on external media which it calls offline files. When an offline file thumbnail is selected, the Reconnect Files dialog box is not available. Here is the procedure that worked for me.
I select the offline files. Then press F11. The "Find Offline Drives - Full Screen View" dialog box opens. In the column labeled Action I select Reconnect Files. Click OK. Now the Reconnect Files dialog box opens. The rest is straightforward.
Thanks to both of you for helping me think this through one more time.

Hi. I'm new to the forum but not new to Elements. So, I should have known better but .. I moved photo files to a new external drive with file manager. Organizer thinks the drive where the files used to be is off line. It's not but Elements can't reach those files because the former folder(s) is gone. Running File>Reconnect>All Missing Files comes back with No Missing Files. I can remove the offline symbol by first removing the photo from the catalog and then doing File>Get Photos>From files… but with 2800+ photos that would take forever. All the files are now where I want them and backed up. No thumbnails have been lost from Organizer. They are just tagged as Off-line. This may be a non-issue but if there is a reasonable way to clean up Organizer, I would like to. Anyone have an idea?
