The second image - the one of the castle - is wonderful. The contrast between the lighted castle and the rest of the image is perfect. Very enjoyable to view.

Nice. Not overworked with all that extra graphic processing.

What made you switch from Canon to Nikon? WHAT? How could you ASK such a question, hmca??? I mean, isn't it obvious? Nikon rules! They are the best. Canon is, well, something you should shoot out of a canon! I am...so...disappointed in you, hmca. The nerve!!! (Kidding ya! I shoot Fuji but I used to have a Nikon. Have gone to the mirrorless side now. But man, the cost for lenses! Sheesh! They don't go easy on you.)

HMCA,
Yes, a swarm indeed. I mean, can you say Apocalypse???
Thanks, BuckSkin.
Yup, that's a silo in the back. I think you've it upon something interesting (at least with regard to photography) when it comes to things we take for granted. In this case, it wasn't a matter of it eventually being gone that caught me; it was just shapes, sizes and textures.
You know, older towns, like the one I live in, are constantly changing. Things come and go all the time. I will be thinking more often than not now to keep an eye out for those things that fit that take-for-granted category. Thanks for the thought.

Ah, yes, a B&W! Good idea. I'll have to work on that. (Gotta learn PSE 15 first!). Thanks very much.

Hey all, Say, I'm trying to figure out if this shot carries any interest to anyone. Personally, I like it - never mind the processing, as that's not my concern. Just the composition and subject matter. You'll note, too, there's a bunch of dots over the pipes and what have you...those are hovering bugs! I mean, really? None of them have thought to defect and go to the other side? Oh well! Anyway, are there any of you out there who find this interesting? Thanks.

Yeah, Sepiana, I was a bit lost there as to where to post this, you know, what with both the Organizer and Editor giving me issues.
Thanks for the help!

Okay, this is rich!
First, as to the lag, running Windows FULLY maximized (I had it unmaximized all along) took care of the lag! I mean, okay, I'll take that! Who cares if it's the opposite to fix the problem for others!
As to the menus not working in Organizer, unticking the auto hide task bar fixed the issue.
I'll monitor things from here and get back to you all if there's a glitch in my "fixes."
Hey, thanks all. I greatly appreciate it!

Sepiana, In Organizer, I can't even access the menu items (File, Edit, etc.); they don't do anything. In Editor, however, I found a similar setting under Edit > Preferences > Performance, as seen below: . Should I untick this option? (Wait...not similar to your suggestion, I see now!)

Hey all,
Running the 30-day trial version of PSE 15, but I'm dealing with a lot of lag. The cursor lags when rolling over menu items, when trying to select stuff, pretty much when doing anything. It's a stop-and-go lag, and it's really bothersome. I can't work with it at all.
Windows 10 3.3 mhz chip 16 gigs ram Nvidia GTX 650 (not the best, but sheesh, not the worst) — I rolled back the video driver to what I know is a stable driver, but that didn't help. The Performance section in the Editor shows 70% disk usage (and I have more than enough disk space). I've imported one folder with about 40 pictures into the Organizer. That's all.
I have no lag in any other program, so I'm really lost here. Incidentally, I've run Lightroom and Photoshop on this system with no problems at all.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

I found that trying the challenges and tutorials in this forum have been a big help. Ah, so where are these challenges? I definitely want to know about them! Thanks.
