Never mind, I was using the rectangular selection tool. When I select Crop from the Image menu it works.

I am using PSE12. The help regarding committing a crop states "Click the green Commit button located in the lower-right corner of the marquee, or double-click the bounding box to finish the cropping. To cancel the cropping operation, click the red Cancel button or press Esc."
I cannot locate the button. Double clicking on the bounding box simple erases it (bounding box disappears). What am i missing?

I do believe it was classic, however I later switched computers. I did not read the disclosure closely at the time.

A couple of years ago I cancelled my subscription to Lightroom. Lost all my catalogs, etc.
What I really need is a Catalog where I can organize my thousands of Photos both raw and jpeg. Can anyone recommend a good inexpensive solution. I have ON1 Photo Raw 2019 but that seems pretty limited.

Thanks Sepiana for calling this to my attention. Adobe's automated web system wasn't set up to handle the question so I placed a call. All I needed to provide was my user name and the CSR looked it up, conferred with someone and found that I was eligible. Shortly later I received an email with info how to provide a copy of the receipt. Now I will see what happens,,, Joe, you are most welcome! It looks very promising. Keep us posted! Adobe sent me an email with a 2019 serial number today. I did have to visit the open case to remind them to get off their butt and take their actions to close the case. I have it loaded but haven't used it yet. The last version I used before purchasing 2018 early September was 2012. This computer should handle it without any problem since I used ON1's 2018 specifications. I'm hoping that the computer and photo software last the rest of my life, however long that may be. The only reason I may have to upgrade On1 would be a new camera which is not planned at this time

Thanks Sepiana. Got few hours left to decide. Seems like a very good price for what you are getting. Thanks Sepiana. I did manage to get a boxed copy on last day of the sale. I'm hoping that they will give a free upgrade to 2019 for purchases in September.
Hi pwahl and Joe,
Adobe has just released PSE 2019. You both may qualify for a complimentary (FREE) upgrade to this new version.
Do I qualify for a free upgrade? Thanks Sepiana for calling this to my attention. Adobe's automated web system wasn't set up to handle the question so I placed a call. Thanks Sepiana. I did manage to get a boxed copy on last day of the sale. I'm hoping that they will give a free upgrade to 2019 for purchases in September. My previous version was for PSE12. I had been in there $10/month for LR and Photoshop but got tired of paying for something I might not use for months at a time. I switched to ON1 2018.5.

Wish there was a method of feeds. Not sure what it is called but a service "feedly" or some other type would list the posts. It was a quick way to see what was happening.

Joe, I got an update for Lightroom CC. It came together with the one for Photoshop CC. This was just a couple of days ago. Then, today I got another one for Photoshop CC. After going through 500+ pictures with numerous LR crashes the Lightroom Queen finally sent a post out stating that there was a beta driver release for the AMD video card. I installed the driver and it seems to have fixed the problem. I would never have thought of the video driver. Glad I got her email.

Joe,
Are you a Creative Cloud subscriber? I have Lightroom CC (and Photoshop CC as well). Adobe has released an update to support Windows 10. Adobe Creative Cloud updated with support for Windows 10, bug fixes
As a side note -- I have not upgraded to Windows 10 yet but a friend of mine has. He is a CC subscriber. I have been checking the performance of Lightroom (and Photoshop) on his computer. No problems whatsoever!
Yes, I am a creative cloud subscriber. I saw the update for Photoshop CC (two so far) but nothing for LR CC.

Upgraded my computer yesterday to WIN10 and I have 8 gig of ram. Since the upgrade LR has been unresponsive a number of times and I have had to close it down. No data was ever lost. While the memory is sufficient it probably would not hurt doubling it or at least adding 4 gigs.
I'd be interested in the experience of any other users. For what it is worth the upgrade went smoothly though it has already had service patch installed this morning.

I think I chose the wrong hobby??? Doubt it. If you finished product looks good to you, that's all that matters.
