Nice tut Helen - thanks very much for putting out there for us. In the first image I followed the tut to the letter. In the second image for the lens flare layer I applied a pin light blending mode rather than a screen. original image:

Welcome to this weeks IOW presentation. It was a week in which the galleries were filled with some truly splendid images from our members. Believe me, selecting just a few to highlight was not an easy task. In the end, I found that several images that spoke to me this week were snow and cold weather scenes. Perhaps it was because I have been broiling in the Australian summer sun that these images gave me a chance to escape the heat and magically transport myself into them (if only in my mind) to admire the beauty and wonder on display. At any rate I am pleased to offer up the following images for this weeks IOW. in no particular orderHonorable Mentions:
alexr - Red deer stag, Bushy ParkWoa, I can only imagine what it must have been like to get close enough to this majestic animal to get a capture like this - I am in total awe! Great composition with the stag off centre and the tree in the background. I can almost feel the cold air rushing through my nostrils and hear the sound of frozen vegetation crunching under my feet as I walk through the scene. A stunning capture Alex!
hmca - Thomas Edison National Park One of the exceptions to the cold weather and winter images I selected this week is an image processed in black and white which is so well suited for the industrial look of the scene. I have been doing some black and white processing over the past couple of weeks and know how tricky it can be to get all of the elements in a black and white image to gel together. The processing on this one is superb with great dynamic range, contrast, structure and clarity. Terrific job Helen!
tpgettys - UntitledOh dear, another deer image, but with eyes like that how could I resist not including it in my selections. On the technical side I really like the composition and post processing treatment given to this image. A great one Tom! deany - winter splenderIt’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas and Dean’s contribution makes it all the more so. I love how you have taken simple objects (poinsettia, pine, snow and log) and arranged them in a way to create a charming yuletide composition. The use of dodging and burning to further bring out the visual experience is spot on. This is such a creative and visually appealing image! While perusing it I was suddenly struck by a craving for a mug of hot chocolate Image of the Week:stepping up to the winner's podium this week is....Storkington - Lost in NarniaAnother of Simone’s fantastic fantasy creations of which I have been a big admirer. In this one we are treated to a wondrous winter wonderland along with an interesting cast to make this scene so magical and interesting. I love it. Disney needs to be on the lookout for Simone. For more fantastic creations and where to find them check out Simone’s gallery to discover wonders that will amaze!
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Congratulations Alex, Helen, Tom, Dean and especially Simone. And thank you all for sharing your images in the galleries this week for all of us to ponder and admire!

Good news to report - copying the plugins over to pse15 worked like a charm! I have just tested everything without issue. Thank you both for helping out with this

I have been using PSE13, but yesterday installed PSE15 for the first time. When I checked my plugins (Topaz & Nik) I noticed they weren't there. Is there an easy way to migrate the plugins across from PSE13 or will I have to deinstall / reinstall each one so that they show up in PSE15? In light of Tom's recent issue with plugins I certainly want to get it right the first time around so that I don't have to go through the same thing!

BTW, before all this PSE 15 problems came up, PSE 13 insists that a version 13.1 is available, and do I want to install it now or on exit (no other choices). I have installed it many times, but it has no effect; same thing every time I run it!
Same here - I have pse13 and always get that same message whenever I start it. Very frustrating.
