Have been away for ages....seems like I have a lot of catching up to do! Firstly I had the flu....then another granddaughter in the States, so flew off (no pun intended) to 'help' - but was still feeling ill so don't know how much of a help I was. I felt so ill that I hardly got my camera out which I think says it all! And then I came home and suffered the worst jetlag for two weeks I think I may have forgotten how to use Elements it's been so long Am now trying to get back to learning how to use my new version (PSE14) Season's Greetings Everyone. It's wonderful to be home! Bayla

I thought I'd revive this thread.....perhaps people were stumped by the word 'biscuits'? That translates into US parlance as cookies! So here are my freshly baked chocolate chip n oat cookies: Now as last night here in the UK was 'Bonfire Night' when we commemorate with fireworks the failure of Guy Fawkes in 1605 to blow up the Houses of Parliament, I would like to see a picture of a display of fireworks please. I have bought The Missing Manual (for PSE13) and have pre-ordered Scott Kelby's book (due out in December)

I've been tempted to add in living people to photos.....at my last child's wedding various grandchildren were sleeping at various times and not all of them are in the official wedding pictures at the same time. But that's life isn't it? There are always people missing on special occasions, but I wouldn't want their ghostly images on the photographs!

Title: Despite stating last week that the leaves are blown off the trees before they get a chance to really display really vibrant 'fall' colours here in the UK, a spell of good weather has meant that the leaves stayed on the trees and I found these three amazing examples whilst out walking.

So, even though I was happy getting v13 at the price I did, it is even better to get v14 free as a result! Brilliant! Very happy, Julie I know exactly how you feel! Glad you were able to dl it. I was expecting a direct link in an email and as you say, ity took a bit of rooting around to locate the dl. Enjoy PSE14 Bayla

Julie,
Here's what I did (I think!)
Signed in to Adobe, then under Plans & Products clicked on View Products (in blue type) which led me to a page with all my registered Adobe Products. That's where the dl was.
Hope this helps.

Taking pictures of the beautiful colours of the trees' annual pre-shedding of their leaves is a non-starter in my neck of the woods....the leaves seem to remain as green as possible until the last minute, then overnight turn yellowish with a tinge of orange and then you blink and the trees are bare! However I did spot this pumpkin display in my local supermarket: Bayla

I believe I recognize the tutorial you are talking about. I may even have saved it. I don't remember seeing the EV member who wrote this tutorial here in this forum. So, I don't really know how to get his/her permission to post it here. We need to be very careful about this kind of situation. If I remember it correctly, Christell was the only EV member who announced that we could use her tutorials here. Moreover, the EV Administrators/Moderators more than once expressed their concern about the "harvesting" of EV's contents.
It seems such a grey area. I wrote a basic animated gif tutorial at EV in answer to a Be Creative (#38 just for the record) where I did an animated Before & After. I also wrote one on EV to animate a kaleidoscope (Be Creative #83). Could I rework these & post in Members Tutorials here? And give examples of more complicated ones I've done?
Am I even allowed to say something like 'TonyW over at EV taught me a neat trick.....' as I did in THIS THREAD?

Bayla, Is this just a link to the tutorial? If so, you can just post it here. If not, it may be a good idea to post the tutorial on the Member Tutorials board. Is this a tut you wrote? If not, make sure there are no copyright issues. Depending on the situation, author's permission to repost the tutorial here and/or the need to acknowledge the author may be in order. I didn't create my avatar. I get no credit for it. It came from a website which offers free animated flags. I was thinking about writing my own tutorial....I once sort of did one on EV showing how to do falling snow which I adapted from a now defunct website, but then I remembered a tutorial that someone on EV wrote showing how to do an animated gif, actually it was a countdown timer like this: Unfortunately I did not save the tutorial before EV closed down, but maybe someone else did or maybe the person who originally posted that tutorial is hiding out here now? Julie,
Of course I don't mind sharing. Maybe I should post a tutorial in the member section? Mine are mostly pretty basic though. When I look at something like Sepiana's avatar for example, I feel mine are pathetic! Sometimes it takes me more than one go before I get what I'm after! But they are definitely fun to do
In this particular image I ended up with five layers (two pictures, one eyelid and two eyelash layers) which I had to reduce to two for the animated gif.

Thanks André. I have also just discovered your YouTube videos (to which I have subscribed)as I don't think I've really benefited from half that Elements+ has to offer.
