Thank you Michelb. Unfortunately, I can't find bridge or the downloader on my system. Is there any direction you can give as to it's location on windows 11? Or do I need to download it separately?

I like the Elements photo downloader to auto download my photos from my camera. Is there a way to use it without opening PSE 2022? I'd like to be able to plug in my camera, have pse2023 photodownloader open and download (like it currently does) but then NOT open PSE 2023 browser?

Thank you Sepiana. I'll also see if I can duplicate that with my in-camera settings. Thank you, Roger

Is there a way for PSE to show me what is actually done to a photo using auto smartfix? For example, how much contrast, how much exposure, etc. The reason is, auto smart fix seems to be doing a good job on most of my pics in general. I would like to setup my Nikon z6 to duplicate the adjustments in camera before editing in PSE. I was hoping somewhere in PSE would show how it adjusted this, that and the other thing... Cheers, Roger

New computer (new) Old computer (old) I upgrade pse 2021 on old computer to pse 2022. I did then did a full backup to my external drive (R) I've installed PSE 2022 on my new computer's c: drive How do I do a restore from external drive R to my new computer, but to my new computer's D drive. Also, will this restore all pictures(not just catalog) and can I keep my directory tree (i.e., all photos are in folders labeled with date taken) fir example pictures\2021 12 05

Can PSE 2022 do focus stacking within the program or do I need to purchase additional software such as Elements+ as indicated in previous threads about previous versions? Cheers, Roger

Thank you for your response. I'm glad to see I'm not the only one with this issue. If I understand correctly, there is no fix or work around. What are you doing on your 4K monitor? Do you just live with a super sized submenus? Again, it just seems odd that everything works as expected on the organizer menus, but not on the editor menus . Thanks Cheers, Roger

Yes, I noticed that also. It seems auto and large are the same and have the same effect as how it is currently set. If I switch it to small, everything in the program gets smaller, so the dropdown menu is proper but everything else in the program is too small to be usable. It seems odd that the organizer displays everything properly but the editor does not. Hopefully someone here has a fix, or I'll just have to work with my giant menu dropdowns:)

Hp spectre 4k laptop and pse 2022 new install Windows 11: The drop down font for the editor is way too big...the drop down menu on the organizer is properly displayed. Any idea how to fix the editor? The display resolution on the laptop is set to recommended 3840x2160 and the scale is set to recommended 250%. It seems the organizer sees this correctly, but the editor does not.

Michel, thanks so much for taking the time to help. Sorry, I'm a bit dense, trying to wrap my head around this. Please let me know if this is correct and if I'm missing any steps: desktop computer: desktop already has pse21 installed and 80k pics in catalog Install pse22 to desktop computer convert pse21 catalog using pse22 full backup using pse22 to external drive do a restore using desktop pse22 to external drive point pse22 desktop to external catalog desktop done
Laptop: install pse22 on laptop point pse22 to external drive for catalog to use? laptop done Be sure both computers have the same drive letter assigned to the external?
Am I missing anything or misunderstanding the steps? Getting ready to do this, last minute checkup. Thanks again.

My current situation: Desktop internal drive has pse2021 and photos. I got for Christmas new version PSE 2022, new 5 tb external drive, new laptop Where I'd like to go if possible: I would like to store all my photos on an external drive and be able to run PSE2022 on either / both desktop and laptop, using the external. (for example, download pics to the external, then plug in external to either computer and run PSE 2022 with catalogs being current on both laptop and desktop regardless of computer used.) Can I install PSE to the external, where the pics, catalog and program would reside? Thanks

Not sure what changed, but now when I 1.select a photo in organizer, then 2.edit in editor, then 3.save as copy, it returns me to organizer, BUT, to the top (newest) photo, not the one I was working on. In otherwords, I select a photo that is 72 pics down from the top (newest), edit it, then after I save, it takes be back to the newest photo and I have to then scroll down 72 photos to find where I was. It used to take me back to the organizer, but to the photo I last selected. Any idea what I may have changed or how to fix? Thanks, Roger

So I just did the 3/17/2021 update for PSE2021 and when complete, the help/about shows the proper build when in editor (20210304.m.156367). But when in organizer, it shows a different build (20210126.m.155261). Is this correct / normal? Thanks, Roger

michelb, I prefer not switching cards, etc, I've always used one usb cable to connect all of my cameras and never had this problem before. The issue I refer to (and solution supplied) is repeatable. The APD sees the one windows folder "p950/removable storage/dcim/100nikon" twice....once as "p950/removable storage/dcim/100nikon" and A SECOND TIME as "p950/dcim/100nikon". When I first tried to figure this issue out I noticed BOTH dcim's were checked in APD folder select option (even though there is only one dcim folder in my windows explorer) and the same file was downloaded TWICE. Once I unchecked (which now remains unchecked) the second dcim in APD "select folders" option, everything downloads exactly correct, and my problem no longer exists when connecting my camera via usb (my preferred method) I hope this better explains my issue and how it was corrected. Cheers, Roger
