I have had a few hummingbirds coming to a sugarwater feeder in the last few days. The migration is over so they are local resident bird's. It is funny how they leave as fast as they arrive for no reason known to me. I only saw one bird yesterday, the pattern in prior days has been one arrival/departure to the feeder every 15 minutes all day long. I hope they are not gone for good as I found a blurb in my camera's manual that may help me get that elusive Tac Sharp image I have been trying for.

This may be just coincidental(sp) but I have been and am being overrun(for the last 3 days) with ads, offer's and newsletter spam. No damage to my knowledge just terribly annoying.

Thanks for looking Che and Jac,,,I'm going to do better hopefully today if we get some sun. BTW Jac,where is Oz?
I just went out and moved the feeder for the sun's advantage,it's still dark but those little guys will be filling their tanks at the crack of dawn. I don't get the sun needed until about 2 hours after sunrise due to my setup limitations so still have time for some sausage and eggs.smile

I sure don't know if it's a female or juvenile for sure but I'm leaning towards an adult female. It is a Ruby Throated clan member for sure. I really have an awfully hard time getting a decent image of a Hummingbird with my camera. This type shot at a feeder must be with auto-focus selected and my SX50 fixed lens isn't all that fast so consequently I have a lot of out of focus Hummingbird shots. This one I have been working towards all week and I'd guess it's probably after at least 500 exposures and still don't have a real sharp one. dick Here she is a couple of seconds later.

Posting an image is not an issue any longer but posting more than one in the same thread is,,,it seem's I have to copy in the first, create the post and then come back and edit in the next image. This is also not a problem to do such, I was merely asking if/how it could be done all at one time and only having to create one post with the multiple images contained therin.

Thanks Paul ,,,,,,,,I have really been down the road with computer's lately,,,,1st my computer crashed big time,I salvaged the hard drive with the Electronic files of PSE11 and LR5.(no backup's ,yea right) I sent this HD to my daughter for possible recovery but she fell seriously ill and has been in and out of the hospital,,she hasn't worked for about 2 months. I then got a new computer from a granddaughter as a gift. It to crashed. I got another under warranty and decided I wanted to go with Linux 17 OS,I wiped Win 8 and installed Linux with the help of a friend who is a computer whiz. I was just getting used to moving around in Linux when that computer crashed. It is in the shop as we speak. I am playing on/via an old computer my wife had mothballed in the interim. I may get back up to speed someday.
Sepiana put me on to a couple of Link's that will help me recover those PSE and LR file's if my daughter cannot get a fix on them.

This Mocker was busy eating a dried up Loquat and decided to pose. I believe he or she is an older bird as I have had a pair of Mockers here year round for the last 18 years and this bird IMO look's old dick

I have been using TinyPic which is an off shoot of PhotoBucket and also using Mother PhotoBucket. They as most do, assign a URL to an image for Forum posting. I copy the URL of a selected image and paste it into the body of the Thread and it stands alone with no garbage or link's back to the source page. This is just another method.

So let's try something such as stop writing text in the message and inserting an image, page down two clicks and copy in URL, pagedown two more clicks and finish message, okay here goes nothing. There once was a little dog named Boudreaux he liked to watch the bird's with his master. Now lets see if that worked. Hey that worked. Have a cup of coffee on me. dick
