That's what I did but I was hoping for someone who had used facial recognition before to enlighten me. I do repair/optimize on my catalogs on a regular basis and that seems to keep them operating efficiently.

Has anyone used Facial Recognition? I need some hints and tricks.
I took a lot of pictures of my grandson's soccer game and want to run all the pics(only those) through facial recognition to sort out the kids and give each parent the pictures of their child.
I am running PSE 14.
Questions:
1. Can I just do certain pictures or do I have to do all my pictures in a catalog? 2. How long does it take? I decided to do my entire catalog(15,000 pics) and after several hours stopped it since it was progressing so slowly. Decided something was wrong. 3. I guess I did this sometime in the past on this catalog since when I went to People a lot of people showed up. None of the circle icons had faces though, they were all grayed out. How do I get faces into the circles?
I am sure I will have other questions but this is my starting point.
Thanks

I am considering buying an eyefi card. I haven't done any serious research yet but would be interested in anyone who has one and their evaluation of the card.
Thanks

FYI-This also affected another one of my programs. I had to go through each item I turned off to get the other program to work.
Sepiana, I turned off the touch pad because I didn't like to use it. I may turn it on again in the future. Thinking about it I not sure were the problem lies. PSE and my other program are the only 2 I have had problems with when I turned off the touch pad. Major problem is that turning off the touch pad also affected the mouse keys. That should not be.
All is working so I wouldn't spend much time on this.
This was more to inform others if they encounter this problem.
Touerjim,
I am not aware of any pgms that allow you to change the mouse setting specific to that program. All are generic and are applied to all programs. I have a PC running W10.

I just bought a new computer and it came with a touch screen and a touch mouse pad that could do swipes, scrolls etc. After playing around with these new toys I turned them off, at least for now.
I installed PSE 14, 13 and 12. Went to do a right click on a category to create a sub-category and it didn't work, I then tried to exclude a category(another right click option). I reinstalled all three products. Same results. This seriously created a lot of sub-category and tag problems for me as it also removed my ability to exclude a category.
Right click worked OK in other areas, just not in PSE.
After a lot of Googling(no help) I went looking at my mouse options. I had turned off "press on lower right corner of the touch pad to right click". My touch pad has a right/left buttons so I interpreted this to mean the actual touch pad. Wrong. This turned off my right button inside of PSE. Once I turned this option on again all is fine. I think this is a PSE problem since the right button works in other locations. When I have a chance I will report it.

Do a full disk search for PET, you probably put them someplace else on the computer and didn't realize it.

Thanks for the links. From the PC mag article it sounds like it will only be cloud based which I am not able to deal with as I linve in a RV 6-7 months of the year and have questionable internet most of the time, good enough for email and some browsing but that is it.
I just took an 1 hour seminar on Google Blogger, Photos and Maps. They can all do so much more than I thought, just need to have someone open your eyes. If I ever master Photos and Blogger(time is the problem) I'll post it here. They both seem like interesting products, especially if you travel and have some internet. Appears to be a great place to upload your pictures to.

I didn't know about Adobe Spark either. It sure looks neat. I went to the Adobe site and found it it doesn't appear to be downloadable to your PC. Am I missing something? Is it only Cloud based?

I tried to create a sub-category in PSE 14 and was successful and I am running W10. As an aside, you may be better served to use the Tags on the right side rather than categories and subs under Albums. It is a more robust way to organize and has better functionality.

I am a little confused as to what you are trying to do. You mention folders and albums and then you want to create sub-categories. Are you trying to create a sub-category in an Album or are you trying to create a sub-category under tags? These are distinctly different ways of using Organizer.

With the lens on. Maybe with the digital clock you will be able to adjust it better. I agree, the manual is crazy to expect you to do that. Must be some reason. FYI: I use autofocus 99% of the time. It is so good nowadays with the technology. Actually, jpg shooting has become so good I don't use raw that much any more.

I just bought the Canon 80D and fine tuned the diopter. Through the viewfinder I looked at a digital clock across the room and played with the diopter adjustment until it was sharp. The instructions in the manual basically said to do the same thing.

Sepiana, You have Pocket correct but it is Google Keep, their beginning attempt to challenge Evernote. Keep is still in its infancy I have found Pocket very useful, since I have use parts of Evernote I am just playing with Keep. Keep is the same but different vs. Evernote. I think there is a place for both.

Thanks Sepiana, I looked in the same places. Just hoped that someone had figured out how to add Pocket or Keep. Wishful thinking.
