I'll go with Tony's theme wildlife. Dennis Dennis, 1st image -- The look on this squirrel's face says it all. He is aiming for the bird feeders. Food! 2nd image -- This one looks so contented, eating his "lunch". My favorite image? The 1st one. Great composition -- the squirrel is naturally framed by the tree branches and the foliage (with the bonus of backlighting).

My theme for this week is Tidal Revelations. My favourite time for a Thameside walk is when the River is at its lowest ebb. All kinds of curiosities are revealed. Here are just two. The remnants of a jetty, or Boatmen's Steps, as they were called. In the days when there was no road across the River except London Bridge, there were numerous small craft to take passengers over the River for a small charge. Just one of many crossing places revealed at low tide. Another revelation, just at the point where the River turns on itself as it loops between Tower Bridge and Greenwich, is a wonderful firm stretch of sandy beach, much beloved of dog owners, who are always there exercising their pets (incidentally, no doggy bags needed here, high tide will clear all away). Brenda Brenda, what an interesting choice of theme -- Tidal Revelations! It exudes motion. 1st image -- Great composition, making use of leading lines (jetty), drawing our attention to the River in the background. Very effective! 2nd image -- Human element, interaction with their dogs, negative space. This is my favorite one. It strikes a chord with animal lovers!
