Thanks for this one Vicki. I started with an image from files and, as I was doing it in Elements that has the Graphic Novel filter I used that to create the black and white layers as, for this image, I preferred it to using Torn Edges. Here's where I finished up - I also tweaked all the colours in the hue/saturation layer by adjusting the individual colour channels rather than selecting the indivdual boxes. I also had to see what the pop-art effect in Guided Edit would do to the same image. Not quite sure how it works as it doesn't leave you with layers but it does appear to create the black and white version by converting to a bitmap. Tony

Jacki, that's a perfect blend of neo and retro--the newest technology with an old style process. Great job! Tom, Sammy is now immortalized in Pop-Art style. All four of his images are wonderful. And I like the circle-in-a-square that you created. Tony, interesting variations you used. One thing it shows is that you really know how to use Elements. It's impressive that you knew which substitutions to make. I really like the first version better. The blacks in the second one are a bit overwhelming. kdcintx, love your portraits of the tuxedo kitty. The colors are just right and he/she is a perfect subject!
