This is an item that hangs in our hallway It is drawn using individual shapes and numerals. Bitmap fills are used for colours/textures. The program is CorelDraw.

That is excellent. It reminds me of the door I once created using some of your techniques. I love this kind of work. I did not want to hijack your thread, so I provided a link to my door instead of posting it here

Thanks cats4jan The door is a good creation and the sort of image work I like. I wouldn't have minded it being shown in the thread. This clock wasn't my own creation but made following a tutorial. It still took ages to follow and complete though..

Thanks for sharing, Mart. The image above looks mind-boggling to assemble. It appears that you are not only very skilled but very patient!

The clock with all the parts took hours and hours to construct but I used it as a pastime when Covid first put us all in isolation, so I had the time to spend. It is a 'Xara Photo & Graphic Designer' image. The name these days shortened to 'Xara Designer'.
I hope to follow a few tutorials I have noticed in the forum on using layers in Adobe PSE. Although I know images are constructed in these, I never have been that clever at it. This is why Xara appealed. It has a layer capability but everything can be shaped/constructed on the same drawing, then dragged into place (as the 'bits and pieces' part of the images above shows). Even so, they have to be pixel perfect in size and placement to produce the final image, so it is a painstaking but interesting job.

What I like about PSE is that parts don’t have to start out the correct size. (Or shape) You grab a piece and manipulate it after placement. I have been known to totally skew a piece - turning a circle into an oval for example.
