- Created the composite with an image from Pixabay. - Took the file into Topaz Studio (1940 Landscape Painting). - Applied the Oil Paint filter. - Applied a texture by Art Cascadea (Simple Sky Ice, Multiply blending mode, 50% Opacity). - Created the animation with PSE (Enhance > Moving Overlays). Click on image to play the animation. |

The owl gets to visit with Santa - image from files: Tony, you nailed your image choice for this composite. The owl looks so comfortable on Santa's lap; Santa's expression is priceless. Thanks Sepiana - the original image was from our annual "photo with Santa" shoot so I had a lot to choose from but the one that I used was Santa holding a baby just a month or so old - perhaps that accounts for Santa's expression! It was definitely the youngest of the day. Replacing the baby with the owl just took a layer mask, a quick mask and a bit of generative fill to fill in the gaps plus a drop shadow to blend in better. Certainly a great starter image to work with. |

Moto , your two images take festive to another level -- bold colors, strong lines, eye-catching effects. Would you please share your recipes? I love colorful. The main ingredient is Artistic Effects, also sometimes Color Match. With a whole lot of tweaking. Looking for a combination that I like. In the Framed Owl image I used one Artistic effect on owl and another Artistic effect on the background forest. Plus I masked out the dirt road Artistic effect on the forest. Lots of trial and error with Levels, Brightness/Lighting, Saturation, Haze removal, sharpening. |

- Ran fotofrank's Monochromatic action (Holiday Red, 100% Opacity - Purple, 25% Opacity). - Applied Filter Forge (Paint HDRtist). - Applied a texture from Photomorphis (Ethereal Light, Soft Light blending mode, 100% Opacity). - Applied the Texture filter (Mosaic Tiles).  |
