As I think you know Helen I like colour BUT I have to say that these images are just WOW. I love all 4 of them but 2 and 4 in particular are really stand out images in my eyes. Just fabulous.

Thank you, lillias. Can't believe they are still doing so well. I have a friend who is a gardener, a long time ago she recommended adding a little bleach to the water in the vase rather then that little pkg. they give you in the grocery store. I have been doing that for years but this time wonder if it has actually lightened the color of the flowers. They started out a deep rose color.  |

a little bleach to the water in the vase I usually add just a drop or two of bleach to the water in the vase when I bring cut roses indoors. It's supposed to help kill any bad bacteria in the water. I was told that years ago and haven't noticed any rose petal color change. I also add a half tea spoon of sugar to feed them (or a bit more sugar if the vase is large) and finally, cut off an inch or so of the stem(s) underwater just before putting them in the vase. Just my 2ยข worth.  |

I think removing the color lets us focus on their shape and texture. Agree. I will try to take some spring flower photos and convert. |

Look forward to seeing them, Clive! I work slow. (I took about 500 photos yesterday so I get a bye.) Our tulips are at a peak now. These were still in the garden.  This is heavily worked over in PSE. These were cut and in a vase in the sitting room.  |
