Creative Effects Challenge No. 228 - Stained Glass Filter

This Creative Effect was inspired by two videos by Marty from BlueLightning TV - this one from 2014 and a similar one from 2023. The catch is that both use several features that are only available in full PS versions so I decided to try and emulate using PSE (In my case PSE2022). All use the Stained Glass Filter which is under Filter>Texture to create the stained glass effect so I thought I'd make this challenge to create anything you like as long as it uses that filter at some stage.
In my case I started with a parrot from Pexels and a background from my files. I selected the parrot, copied it to a new layer and applied the stained stained glass filter - making sure the colors are set to the black/white default. Marty had a neat way of selecting the stained glass leading which I couldn't find a way to duplicate in PSE so I just used the magic wand tool to select pure black which did a reasonable job as long as there is no pure black in the image. As you can see my image had some pure black and the result is some missed leading! If anyone comes up with a better way that works in PSE I'd love to hear it! The outside leading was done by applying an outside stroke to the selection of the parrot. Copied the leading selection to a new layer and applied an emboss layer style.
For the background I gave it some blur and applied the glass filter. Then added a new layer, filled it with white and applied the Stained Glass Filter , selected the black leading, inverted and deleted the white and applied an emboss layer style.. Then copied over the stained glass parrot from above. combined the two and tweaked the look using a levels adjustment. Here's a screen shot of the layers I used and the end result.
