Two images unexpectedly encountered on an evening stroll yesterday: This beautiful avenue of trees moves towards an invisible vanishing point. Pathway and fence move to meet each other at another cognitive vanishing point. Dennis, my favorite? The 2nd image -- with the parallel lines coming into the frame from the corner, drawing our eyes diagonally to the vanishing point. This composition exudes motion! |

Yesterday we visited the old platforms at Holborn station and this is the lines vanishing towards the old Aldwych station which is now closed. Matthew Matthew, awesome image! It kept me going back to fully appreciate it. Not a run-of-the-mill interpretation of Vanishing Point! |
