For one of my previous challenges I had thought of "The Back of the Store" for a topic and then abandoned the idea as it seemed too limiting. Recently PeteB shared this image on FB. I loved the picture and the memories it invoked for Pete. He had also helped shape my idea for this month's topic. This month you will be asked to submit images "Shot from Behind". I am including an article on shooting people from behind that you may find interesting when considering submissions for this month's challenge. Additionally you can take a quick look at the picture from National Geographic before they ask you to submit an email address to continue. It was a great picture shot from behind that raises the viewer's curiosity. Here's Pete's wonderful image that I am using as an introduction to this challenge. Pete shared his conversion process but unfortunately I must have deleted it. u.cubeupload.com/HMCA/hay28644.jpgImage added using cubeupload.

Thanks for getting the challenge started, Peterj and pontiac1940. I always appreciate a little humor, Pete. Your find definitely fits the theme. Clive, you found some fine examples from your archives. I especially like the last two.

Thanks Helen for using my image. Also, after reading the two articles, I became aware that I often photograph from behind.. The first article was interesting because the photographer seems to avoid the subjects’ faces. Here is one of my newly discovered “from behind” images. I cut the subject out and used Silver Efex to convert to b&w.

The above image works well for the challenge. Pete. I especially like its tones and clarity. Good addition to the challenge.

Fun subject and I had to go back a few years in the archives before I ran into a suitable shot from behind - converted from raw using a Fuji monochrome profile (Acros with a Green filter) Tony

Close one, Tony. Makkes you wonder what he's looking at so intently.

Looks like a good sized dog whose stance tells us something has definitely caught his attention, Karen.

Checking my files, I found this one in color that I shot through our car's windshield one day. Converted with Topaz Studio "Scooby 01".
