I'm guessing pontiac1940 's was a butterfly wing? Not sure what yours might be, Jim. Will leave that for someone else to figure out.

I love canteloupe! Meanwhile, this one should be easy. A wasp or bee honeycomb. Yes, a Viceroy wing. This was posted here two months ago.

Meanwhile, this one should be easy. A wasp or bee honeycomb. You got it, Clive! Unfortunately, we had a ton of wasps around our yard last year. Finally had to have an exterminator come over with his space suit on, etc. (for $450.00). He destroyed four or five empty nests under the roof overhang (like the one I posted earlier) plus an ACTIVE hoard of them that went under our house through a hole in the stucco where a water pipe goes through the wall.

we had a ton of wasps around our yard last year Wasps were bad here as well. The recipe is so effective: 1/2 c sugar 1/2 c apple cider vinegar 1/2 c water. Put in a closed wasp trap. If using an open dish add 3 or 4 drops dish soap to break the surface tension. Here are the simple traps I make. Highly effective. The price is right. I'll add a new what is it later today although anyone is welcome to do so.
