do not have a Sams Club membership.... You can shop at Sam's Club without a membership; they have provisions in place for this kind of situation. The only downfall is that you will have to pay a 10% service fee. However, depending on the sale price for Elements 14, you may still come ahead.

Also, you can skip Sam's Club and go to Walmart. They sell this program and, just like their competitors, do offer promotion sales.

do I need to uninstall my PSE11 before I install 14 ? No, you don't need to. Each version of Elements is an independent one. You can have multiple versions of Elements installed on the same computer. I myself have six versions all living in perfect harmony on the same computer.
As a side note -- It may be a good idea to keep Elements 11 installed. Adobe removed quite a few features from Elements 12.

Also, Elements 14 is a 64-bit application. If you have plug-ins which come only in a 32-bit version, they won't work in Elements 14.

Hi Ruby No, you don't need to uninstall previous versions of PSE. You can just go ahead and install v14 as normal. You can then use either one, depending on your requirements Well done for getting such a good deal. I'm sure you will enjoy the newer version. Perhaps more importantly, you may well wish to keep it around, as version 14 is a 64-bit application, and as such does not support earlier 32-bit plugins that you may be using in version 11. |
