They should be in Program Files (or Program Files(x86)), listed under Topaz Labs. At least they are on my Windows 7 machine.

Simone my 3rd sentence down have listed the places I have looked in & cannot see the exe file anywhere. Do you mean for me to go Start >All programs & use that search ? If so what exactly should I write down? When I hit Download I was given choice of RUN or SAVE & I chose RUN would this have caused a problem ? Thank you . Storm
Sorry Major Major I did not see your reply. Texture Effects is NOT listed in the Topaz File in Programs(x86) where the majority are . Neither is it listed in the Topaz Labs File which is in Programs. That file just has Impressions which was bought at a later date than the whole collection. Thank you. Storm

Hi Storm, My computer is a PC, windows 8. I just tried installing the trial version, and it created
It contains the .exe file. There was also a shortcut icon placed on the desktop. If you are not seeing this it seems like the installation did not complete. If the setup file is still in your downloads, I think try running it again.

Storm,
Topaz's installation instructions state:
Download the Texture Effects installer file from the Downloads Page or your My Account page. Double click the EXE file you downloaded to open the installer Continue through the prompts (choose Standard or Custom installation) and complete the installation of Texture Effects Immediately open Texture Effects. Do not skip this step! This step creates the Texture Effects entry in Photoshop and other host editors' Filters menu.
Perhaps try downloading the program again following the instructions above.

Storm, When you choose "Run", the .exe file is just downloaded as a temporary file in your computer's Temporary Internet folder. Then, your computer runs the .exe file automatically. This means that, if you need to install this Topaz plug-in again, you will have to go back to the Topaz site and do another download. On the other hand, if you select the "Save" option, you decide where the file will be saved on your computer and exactly when you will be running (opening) it.

Sepiana I will do what Simone suggests when Topaz server is up & running Should I chose Standard or Custom ? Where is the best place to save it and does it automatically go into PSE Filter . ? Thank you Simone & Tom I would leave this till my son comes over on Sat but I may end up having to buy a Tablet with him if we cannot get a Driver for my old Wacom. So I don't want him to know about Topaz Textures . Storm

I may have misunderstood earlier; if you were able to run it you should find it already "connected" with your Elements program. Click Filter, and at the bottom of the drop-down menu you should see Topaz Labs.

Storm, did you remember to close Elements and then re-open it before looking to see if the Filter is in your menu?

Storm,
Just go with the Standard install; you should really only use the Custom install if you know which parts you want and don't want to install. Best keep it simple and go for standard.

BTW I just downloaded the trail without any issues (I run Windows 8.1). The Topaz Installer exe file downloaded into my Downloads folder and from there I just run the installer and followed the on screen instructions. As Rita said, please ensure that all your image editing programs are all closed.

I downloaded/installed the purchased version. Here is what I did.
1. Clicked on the download link provided in the e-mail. 2. Selected the "Save" option. The .exe file was automatically saved in "Downloads" on my computer. 3. Located the .exe file. 4. Right-clicked on the .exe file and selected "Run as administrator". The installer did its job. This plug-in is available in the Filter menu.
