Just when you thought that it was safe to go back into the frozen water, It's my turn on the bench. Several of the contributors had several posts this week and I always make it a rule to post one per customer as the Snake Oil Salesman once said. Also I noticed a lot of old names but not many newbies: Admittedly many of these old hands would not have seen their work had there been newbies because I loved the encouragement I got as a newbie and try to pay back in kind. Try and think of a way to get the newbies to post guys, it's important. That being said all those who played this week deserve high praise for high standard work - Congratulations.
Bottles: by blackbutt, I love the way this image draws me deeper and deeper the more I look at it, great art!
Chippie: by WayneS, I had heard that Ittsy Bitsy Spider climbed up the spout, but didn't know that Chipmunks ate them. Thanks for the tip Old Buddy.
Cooperage: by Sepiana, is a lovely watercolour that if I had found to photograph I think would have occupied several days - Jealous.
Plug: by tourerjim, As one who loves dogs, this made me frown, as I do for those who dress them, but the story of the plug's origin lowered my hackles a bit! LoL. The lose of the right-side chair back has me intrigued though!
Winter Doldrums: by jjr1770, what a delightful pencil sketch effect that I just love. However as it reminds me of a cartoon from my youth of a bear scratching it's back on a tree, I would have titled it "If it Feels Good - Do It!"
Image of the Week:
Barred Owl: by storkie, Stood out for me as the proximity and cropping of the shot conveyed the inherent danger of getting too close to a raptor designed for one thing and one thing only - Killing things. Beautiful Simone!
