Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.
NOTE: The idea is to capture something between two things. Lots of possibilities -- people, objects, the space in between. You can interpret this theme literally or in a figurative way.

I will kick off this weeks challenge with this picture taken on my smartphone today and edited in Photoshop Express. It is the Colorado River in Yuma which flows between California and Arizona

Pauline,
Great way to begin this challenge. I really like how you went down to the water level to capture the river. Did you notice there is also another "between" in your image? The bridge between the two banks of the river.

kathylee,
Interesting interpretation of this theme. I really like the combination of leading lines and shadows.

Kathy Lee, I love your picture. I can't seem to get the hang of taking a picture with my phone. Just took one when we came in tonight but doctored it up with filters as it looked so bad!

Just some clarification.
The Weekly Photo Challenge is not limited to shots taken with an iPhone or any other smartphone. You can still drag your old fashioned camera out to fulfill this challenge.

hmca, for this picture I guess everything was lined up. My iphone pics are sometimes (mostly) terrible, just lucked out. I notice they turn out better in very good light. All I did here was straighten the picture could use more!!! I took it off to the side to avoid bikers coming behind me so it is a bit off kilter and would like to go back and re take the picture and stand in the center of the trail bridge. Thank you for the comment. I have an Apple 5 that I am using. Kathy

This church tower - is it a spire, is it a steeple? It has to be Between the two.

Nothing too original in this "Between the Lines" shot but I always like putting things into perspective with some symmetry thrown in!

Brenda – Your image is ingenious. You were really thinking out of the box. I love it!
Tony – You got a classic here -- leading lines, perspective, symmetry between . . . the lines. Beautiful! This image would make a wonderful triptych. Andy – Where did you find these jewels? You don’t see them around too often these days. Quite an unusual interpretation of the Between theme. What a finding!

This afternoon I drove around looking for the elusive Between. When I saw this church wall, I knew that was it.
