 Thanks for another week of wonderful images! These were my picks....... A Creek Runs Through It by Dandc – this looks like a magical place where fairies and hobgoblins might hangout…… Just take the first step by KathyLee – I love curves, and there are lots of them here. The lighting is terrific too. Windmill by HMCA. Love the serenity and texturing in this one. Chipping Sparrow by JR1770(Judy) – love this perky little sparrow and the background texturing is quite wonderful! and Image of the Week - DRUM ROLLLLLLL Hairy Woodpecker by Reg – Reg had many bird shots that were truly excellent this week, but the one I liked the most was the woodpecker. The pattern and motion of the wing in particular is spectacular! |

The variety speaks to the talent here. Each shot is excellent in its own way. Congratulations - you all deserve to be recognized, but capturing the woodpecker in flight with a nut in his mouth? Fantastic.

Thank you Pat for judging this week. As a regular gallery contributor whose images I always admire, it was nice to see the ones that stood out for you. Reg's woodpecker was a definite standout for all the reasons mentioned and I also liked the shadow of his wing on the branch. Congratulations to my fellow runner-ups and thank you for including my windmill.

Great selections Pat, and the method of display shows what a wonderful kaleidoscope of life images our galleries provide for others spread worldwide. Thanks to all the contributors for a glimpse into your world. Full Kudos for the Nut Thieving Woodpecker, we don't have them in the Land of Oz!
