Helen - that is everything a scrapbook page should be. It's a beautiful memory page. The text and outline finishes your photo and elevates it to something 'more'

A simple memory page - heavy on the photos - light on the scrapbook elements My photos. I don't remember whose kit this is. Sorry. The title was made by using two different colors of text - each on its own layer - one layer was nudged over a couple of pixels.

Using the same photo array template, background made with brushes photos by me Remember - you can reuse psd templates because each item on the template is on its own layer -- so each layer can be moved, resized, duplicated, deleted, etc.

Those are both great pages Janice. I particularly like the layout of the first one. Such lovely photos I'm sure bring back nice memories. Nice scribbled frame around the journaling.

Happened to be parked in a strip mall in time to see someone having a really bad day. (The strip mall was mainly unrented space, so no one was in the space when the car went through the window)When something like this happens, my mind always goes -- "that will make a really great scrapbook page" (This layout was done in answer to a challenge called -- "What's outside your window?")

Gosh that really was a bad day for that fellow. Great photo record of it. Hahaha the irony has just struck me...you say this page was for a challenge 'What's outside your window' and here you have a photo of someone having crashed through a window. I know...I'm not a well person really

Strange minds think alike. And I mean that in the very best way. Haha

Took the pic into Nik Collection, Analog Efex Pro 2 and used Classic Camera 1 effect. With this photo I was practicing 'creating a vignette to transparency effect'. Pic from Pixabay BG and other embellies from Autumn Bouquet Collab kit by RenaDesigns and Black Lady Designs.

I've been playing with masks. I used two of them on this page. One masked the photo and the other, the grunge background. Note, on the right edge of the photo, there is a Blue Heron sneaking up on the Wood Storks. It's all one photo - the effect of separating the birds happened because of the mask. The title was made using two different colored layers of text and adding a shadow. I recently learned something about shadows, but I don't know where I learned it so forgive me for not crediting the source. After you make your shadow and you reopen your style menu by clicking on the fx of your layer, you can use the move tool to move the shadow out from under your item. You must make a shadow the same way you always do and save it. THEN you reopen the menu by clicking on the fx. You cannot move the shadow out from under while doing the first step.

Really like this page Janice. The layout is well constructed and stylish and I love how you have the string of the tag entwined through the title. Nice journaling too.

Digital Scrapper had a terrific template and kit for this month - I especially like that background paper. The title effect was part of the template, just had to change the text to my own. I love templates. I've grabbed my 'go-to' font - McBoo HMK, too.

I don't do so well with templates really. This page kind of evolved from one I did in the Flowers for a Lady Challenge. This is much darker and more manly! Mask from jilbert set 2 two BG papers one from CJM Fine Art Textures and one from Distressed Textures with Luminosity blend mode applied to one of them. Comic Effect applied to photo. photo from pixabay motorbike, camera and papers from ‘Man Oh Man’ kit by G&T Designs

Oh Lillias, this is so good. I can't imagine being able to do something so creative and artistic. All my best pages are from templates. I need that boost up.
But, I get it - about a page evolving. Sometimes you start out with an idea and it takes on a life of its own and before you know it, Magic.
Is that frame a Digital Scrapper brush? I have a set of brush frames and I use them all the time.

Thanks Janice for your kind words. The frame is actually part of the mask from one of jilbert's sets. I find that if you can get some good masks the page almost creates itself.
