Sepiana, thank you for your very kind comments, but you helped, you know. You gave us what I consider the ideal type of starter image. A clear central element to set the theme, of sufficient size to make selection easy for either moving it into another background or around on it's original background, and with plenty of open space around it to allow introduction of sizable elements for composition. So, thank you!
Rita

Moto - You made me smile! That orb was a stroke of genius. Great cartoonish effect!
BillieJean - What an interesting composite image you created! Perfect blending of all the elements!

I thought I would try a triptych effect. The ship porthole clip art is from the Clker.com site.

I love it!!! This is a very interesting concept in that, the boat is clearly travelling from left to right. However, I then feel that the boat should only be in one of the windows! So, it is kind-of like an illusion, if you see what I mean.? I also love the glass texture effect surrounding the portholes I think someone else will be able to put this into words better than I've done Excellent idea and very well executed, as always, Sepiana Julie

And thank you for the kind words! I appreciate them. I always fret over which image to use for this challenge.

You are very kind.
My first attempt was with only one porthole and the boat in the center of it. I didn't like it. So, I began experimenting.
The stained glass effect was created with a free-for-all tutorial by Wendy Williams, Making Stained Glass (PET site).

Sydney - Glad they made it to Australia. Their canoe just looks right at home in those blue waters. Great job!
whippet - This made me smile. It is very clever! It could be a poster for an adventure movie.
