Thanks for the heads up. Now downloaded and installed, the masking and Perfect Brush enhancements look very promising.

Andy, thanks! Downloaded, installed -- now it is time to check the new features. Can't wait to try the new borders and textures.

FYI: Just in case you were as confused as I was... I currently am using v10. When I clicked the link, I got the impression that I would have to pay another $90 to get the upgrade; to that! That is not the case however! The next time I ran On1 it told me there was an upgrade available, and it installed for free; !

Andy, Thanks! You just made my day! It looks like this contains some of the frames from Photo Frame and Photo Essentials, two of their discontinued products. Now I don't have to keep going back to Elements 10 to use Photo Essentials.

It will be a different story when they release version 11. Then, you will be asked to pay a reduced upgrade price, a reward for customer loyalty. Anyway, this has been my experience. I have been using their products for many years (since 2008? 2009?).

I'm adding my thanks too. I've had access to those frames through On1 Essentials, which I'm running in Elements 11, but was concerned that I would lose them if/when I upgrade to a later version. I'm just finishing the downloads now. agg

I downloaded the update 10.5 but it will not work. Contacted support 3 times but still does not work.

Can you expand on what you mean by "will not work"? What exactly is happening?

Major Major
I downloaded the 10.5 upgrade after receiving the notification. It went thru the motions of installing. I opened an image in pse 11 and applied the tone enhancment filter. However, the + icon did not appear in the layer stack as shown in the on1 tutorial "New masking options inside photo effects 10.5." I have contacted support 3 times and receive basically the same answer every time, which don't work. I don't think support really reads the e-mails. They just send form letter replies.

Maybe you could cut and paste their reply here. I don't have 10.5 so I can't be much help, but others may be able to give you a hand. Speaking for myself, I have usually found the On1 folks to be very responsive.

I have been a user of ON1 products since at least 2008/2009. I have always found their Technical/Customer service to be a five-star one either when acessed by e-mail or by phone. I have updated my copy of Photo 10. I will check it. I also agree with Craig. I would like to see their reply.

Well I finally got the upgrade to work. You have to restart your computer after the download.
I can't figure out why the wiz kids at on1 didn't know this after 3 emails to support. Not one mentioned it. Hours of frustration. Not exactly on1's shining hour.
