I shoot in RAW
I convert in the Canon RAW software
I usually have no problem
When I edit a RAW image from my latest batch and save and close it, I return to Organiser and the icon is of a grey square with a jagged line across it
What am I doing wrong please?

I believe the OP is talking about a utility designed to convert Raw files from a Canon camera. It comes on a CD with the camera. However, because of its limitations many Canon camera users prefer third-party converters such as the Adobe Raw Converter in Elements and Photoshop.
