Fed up with off the shelve laptops, my last one was a Samsung & best by far but now it's slowed up almost to a stop & tried everything to get it back up to speed & after throwing lots of money at it decided time to move on.

Thought I'd treat myself to a new Laptop with my own spec, switch laptop on & within seconds Windows is running, double click on pse & within blink of eye its running.
Here's my spec, C' drive im running Windows & pse, D' drive for picture/video editing, E' drive for storage. It's about as powerful as you can get in a laptop, Google pc specialist

Thanks, picture editing is a seamless effort, half hour edited video published to disc is done in seconds, my old laptop would have taken several hours at least.
Had the laptop about two months now & still can't get used of the speed, cost a few bob but will last me some years, as well it will always be upgradable.

Those are really great specs - you'll be happy with it for a long time.

Most operating systems tend to slow down after use; usually caused by adding software and subsequently removing it. Windows is particularly sensitive to this as it's registry gets full of junk. Since you have experience from your Samsung slowing down you can possibly validate that statement. There are methods to keep a machine running almost as good as new. One free option is CCleaner which has a registry scanner.

If it was a pc I would have had the confidence to build my own, laptop thought I'd leave it to the experts www.pcspecialist.co.uk/ you choose the screen/chassis then from a list of drop downs you can choose your spec's which is what I down

Thanks for the explanation, I realize now that your gave that name in your original post, but I did not recognize it as the name of a company.

Wish we had a supplier of that kind around here, I've never heard of anything similar.
