On my Microsoft 10 desktop I cannot get the Share function for emailing photos to work. This has been going on for months. Is there any solution for this problem. I am using Photoshop Elements 12.

I'm using PE 14, and I, too, cannot get the Share function to work! This is a basic need - how can Adobe not solve this problem ASAP? Anybody have an "inside" contact at Adobe???

I assume the share function had previously worked for you?

Hi martin2112 and tommy, welcome to PSE&M!
Would you please give us more details on what exactly the problem is?
- What do you mean when you say the Share function doesn't work? Elements crashes? Error messages? E-mail doesn't get sent? - As Simone pointed out, did this feature work before? - Which e-mail program do you use? Microsoft Outlook? Yahoo? . . .?
Keep in mind that . . .
- Starting with Elements 13, you can easily use any e-mail program without having to get the Adobe authentication codes (which were required in earlier versions). - Starting with Elements 13, the Windows-only Photo Mail feature is no longer available. - Sharing starts in the Organizer. This means that, if you don't use the Organizer or the photos you want to e-mail are not in the Organizer, you will have to use the Attachments function in your regular e-mail program.

The Program has not permitted me to email photos or send attachments since October. I believe the problem arrived shortly before I bought in November a new Lenovo Desktop computer with Windows 10 already installed. After I select recipients and hit next a rotating circle appears and then nothing further happens. After a few minutes of the rotating circle I have to close the computer because Photoshop Elements will no longer respond. Once in awhile when the problem first arose I did get a request for Authentication but there was no way to respond. For previous years with Photoshop Elements I never had a problem forwarding photos. I can send photos to my Smugmug account.

Photoshop Elements does not show up as a Program it can fix. I am 70 years old and not very computer literate. Asks for where in computer is Program at issue. How do I find it to enter into the Trouble shooter? By the way, when I again tried to send email I got message that HTML Email Sender Verification has sent me via email to my correct email address a verification code. It never arrives. I entered my email address at Edit.Preferences>Sharing

OK. Don't worry! Let's take one step at a time (baby steps if needed).
Skip the first set of instructions in that link, the ones about using the Troubleshooter. Let's set the Compatibility mode by using the shortcut to Elements. See the 2nd set of instructions (How to Run an App in Compatibility Mode). All you have to do is right-click on the shortcut, select Properties, select the Compatibility tab, and follow the instructions. Make sure to select the OS you were using before in the drop-down menu in the Compatibility mode box.
EDIT: How do you launch Elements?
- Via the Welcome Screen? - Via a shortcut to the Editor? - Via a shortcut to the Organizer?
