Nicely done ritage! The bevel(?) is a nice touch too.

This is a very creative effect. I can see this used to jazz up any scrapbook page.
BillieJean's flower is my favorite so far, but there are many that really hit my eye. Again, you guys are taking a simple idea and taking it up to a whole new level.

Nicely done ritage ! The bevel(?) is a nice touch too. Thanks you, Tom. It's not a bevel, just a Border (Select-Modify-Border) of 50 px. Then put on its own layer and duplicated 3 times at Multiply Blend Mode. It took that many layers of it to make it dark enough to show up. Rita

Thanks for sharing how you made that effect ritage ! There is another tidbit that I wanted to share with everyone trying out this tutorial that may be new for some. When using the Raidial Blur filter, in the lower-right corner of the dialog there is a box where you can use your mouse to move the center of the blur. In the capture below I have moved the center up and to the left. It defaults to the center of the image, but depending on the image used, moving it could be just the ticket for the Lensbaby effect.

Just one more (maybe). The train and the border have inspired me as have the other creative submissions. It's fun to repurpose some of my old photos!

Well now qcocoq you have inspired me to give it another go too! This is Igor Glenn; he has been a member of The New Christy Minstrels, The Benny Goodman Orchestra, and Igor’s Jazz Cowboys, to name a few! In his 80's and still kicking it!

Thanks for the great tut Tom - I have been wondering what a lensbaby effect was, but never got around to investigating it, so this exercise was a perfect excuse to actually create one. i.cubeupload.com/wQhpRz.jpg

Yep! In my case I have found this technique can transform my mediocre photos into ones that have some interest and are dynamic.
