Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else.
Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme.
You are allowed to do some photoshopping.
You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.

Wanted to join in last week but the time just got away from me. This week isn't any better - heading out camping tomorrow morning and won't be in phone range or have computer access until Saturday evening. We don't have much in the way of a waterfront around here anyway, so I'm probably not missing out on anything.

A hot day and just right for a walk along the waterfront (the St Clair river). Couldn't decide between two shots so I'll have to post both. First is a seagull keeping an eye on a tall ship moored along the riverfront and the second a fountain along the waterfront - I liked the way the water jets matched the clouds.   Tony |

Two from me as well  I took these yesterday at a nearby beach....a rather blustery day but thought you might find them interesting. The first one shows one of several palm trees that are scattered along the Jersey shore on beaches and at businesses.  In the second picture the vessel you can see in the background is part of the ongoing beach replenishment.....it funnels sand back toward the shore line.  |

Oh too bad this was not last weeks topic, I have lots of lovely waterfront pictures from my Alaska cruise. Will have to see what I can rustle up this week.

I missed your participation last week. I was looking forward to another trip down memory lane (Colorado). Looking up at Pikes Peak?
Land on the edge of any body of water will do (lake, river, etc.)

Both are beautiful images -- sharp and colorful. Another job well done!
I favor the second one with the sculpture of water jets jutting from the side of the frame, leading the way into the water and the water jets mimicking the clouds in the sky. I just love leading lines!!!
Did you notice the resemblance of a face on one of the rocks? The rock in the middle?

Helen, These are indeed very interesting images! I really like the way you composed your shots. One single palm tree has more impact than a few of them; the inclusion of the sand-funneling vessel adds another dimension to the second image. Great job! |

Beautiful image! I love how you composed your shot. My eyes just want to follow the river from the side of the frame across the image. Well done!

I really like your images -- colorful and well-composed. I favor the first two images as they are a perfect interpretation of Waterfront (land on the edge of a body of water).

Our coastline isn't so beautiful as yours over the pond. The yachts are on the North Sea at Seaton Carew in Cleveland. The other picture is a few miles further north at Crimdon Dene. Bit hazy day.   |

I disagree. Your coastline has a beauty of its own and you captured it well. I really like how you captured the curvy lines of the waterfront in your second image. Great composition!
I would love to have seen some land included in your first image. It would really fit the waterfront theme.
