That is interesting because I DO have that one checked for daily, same as yours...... But it does not seem to work for me..... I have mine set to Smart; I changed it to Instant and got many emails after a while, so I set it back to Smart. I will try Daily next to see if that works for me. I just now changed mine to smart... so we will see.... Oh wait, you had yours set to Smart - I did not see a Smart option! <grin> Ok, I am being silly now  |

OK, you're getting it! But seriously, if you want emails for activity you might want to try the Instant setting. For me, since I log on every day I like the Participated notice there in the top right corner:  If I see the NEW button I just click it to see all the threads that I have participated in that have been updated since I last looked. |

I understand why you log on everyday being part administrator, moderator, love of PSE.... I do not log on everyday, unless I start a new thread, then I do log on everyday until my thread slows down. Yes I have also learned to look for the " NEW" in the participated notice, but I would also like to know if someone has posted a new post in a thread I had been active in, especially if it has been several days or maybe over a week since I logged on here. Thank you for all the help you are giving to me, and others on this great forum! |

Yep, I tagged you; you're it! Anyway... I really don't know how the smart thing is supposed to work; maybe you get the email today, tomorrow, or never; I just don't know. I have noticed that the emails do not always arrive quickly; in some cases there is a significant delay; for example, I received the email about your post an hour or two after I responded to it! The instant choice seems to work as intended, though with a delay at times, but perhaps that is too much. |

I just now went back to my profiles.... I had "Bookmarked" and "Participated" both set at daily. I changed them to instant. Will wait and see if that makes any changes....
