Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo this week that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. This challenge is all about getting you out there (or inside) with your camera and shooting something you perhaps wouldn't normally photograph. Have some fun experimenting!
The rules are simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping.

My windows to the world... BillieJean, nice way to start this challenge. You did capture some negative space. I really like how you composed your shot, with the glasses at an angle. Well done!

A turkey vulture flies overhead kdcintx, this is a classic! I love how you captured most of the negative space -- with the turkey vulture flying into the canvas. Great details on the feathers (as a bonus)!

Thanks Sepiana! Here's my try. Bill, and I love your try -- negative space, muted colors, and . . . lines and shapes. It is the kind of image which keeps one going back to it.

Braved the cold today to have lunch by the lake and watched the spray freezing as it hit land. This was my attempt at a negative space shot. The effect was slightly upset by a dark spot on the horizon. Was tempted to Photoshop it out but decided to be honest and left it in As the dark spot got closer it turned out to be the ice-encrusted Great Lakes Trader - one of the largest vessels on the Lakes - heading from Duluth to Detroit with a cargo of iron ore pellets. It also disturbed a large flock of birds - probably Long-Tailed ducks - that had been floating around on the lake. So my negative space got invaded for a second time but I rather liked the result! Brenda, great thinking out of the box. Really nice interpretation of Negative Space (tying it in with Lewis Carroll's work). Great job!

Tony Tony, two classic examples of Negative Space. Great job! If I had to pick up a favorite, I would take the first image. I love the lines going across the image (horizon, shore line, even the lines on the bench). This image would make a wonderful triptych.
