Deep Probe 6 approaches the alien frozen ice planet. Wow, there have been superb efforts all around with this image - have loved them all!

Moto ......nice to see that you combined this challenge image with an image from the site Lillias shared! Sydney .....very cool idea! ritage .....how long did that take you to create? .......Amazing! Helen, it took a little over half an hour and most of that for setting up the animation. I made the object with the Step&Repeat method in CS5. To my knowledge it doesn't work in Elements, unless it was added in Version 15.
There are many tutorials for many variations available, written and U-Tube, most of them sounding over-complicated. I made this simplified one for myself years ago:
The important step is to pull the automatically created upper layer in the desired direction, because that direction will be followed by all layers afterwards.
Just recently it occurred to me that all these easily created layers should be perfect for animation and this was my first try.

ritage , ritage , ritage .........even with your directions I don't have the skill and understanding to create something like that!!!!! That was so nice of you to explain your steps. Hopefully it will be helpful to one of our members.

Helen, I suppose these instructions I make up for myself are too scaled down to offer to others. I'm sorry. This particular process is really very simple and useful, and if anybody is interested, I would be happy to explain in more detail. It is necessary to have full Photoshop, I believe any version will do. Here is a link to the simplest explanation I ever came across, to fill in some of the blanks in my own. planetphotoshop.com/step-and-repeat-in-photoshop.htmlRita

whippet.....think he'll be able to use his magical powers to free himself. You did a nice job toning the unicorn to match the image!

Thank you so much. I am pleased with it, too. I discovered some beautiful images at yopriceville. Just the sort of thing you would like, BillieJean.
