Hi Everyone, I sent a link to Mike Warren the creator of this action so that he could see how we were using it. In a reply he sent me two additional actions for you to try. for you to try. He included this additional information: "One is a high res version of the 12 point action with 300 DPI print sizes from 4” X 4” up to 32” X 32” for those people who want to print their images. The part of the image you plan to use for the wedge should be 300 ppi at actual size, so you might use a 10” X 10” X 300 ppi image to start to end up with a 32” X 32” x 300 ppi Kaleidoscope. The 2nd action is for making a 5 point Kaleidoscope, which was very challenging to write! I like the 12 point one myself because you can use it to make a clock face. Feel free to share these with your members." Below is a link to my dropbox account so that you can give them a try. You do not have to create a dropbox account to get the actions.

Here are two quick examples with starter images. They both included skies and I think I would prefer if there wasn't that band of blue....I did try deleting it with the magic wand but couldn't get a clean enough selection. 5pt example 5pt starter: Just showing the square I chose from my image The second action is like the original but gives you the option to print at a larger size. 12 pt. starter:

Like how your hue/saturation adjustment completely created a new feel for your image. Just to be clear, if I am understanding Mike correctly, all this new 12 pt. action does is allow you to print at a larger size if you wanted that option. Thanks for creating this example, Billie Jean.

Interesting the way the bug and its antennae are repeated in this 12 point version

The new 12 point does just seem to give some more options for creating a higher resolution image - for posting here it shouldn't make any difference which one you use - here's another before and after. I tried both 5 and 12 points but for this fish 12 worked better than 5 Tony

I couldn't resist trying some more. I tried the 12 point and 5 point variant, but they are not to my liking, so I stuck with the original action. This is the original I used: Ran the original kaleidoscope action, added an outer edge and a different background to get this: Then I ran the action one more time, which resulted in this image:

Interesting what it made of the letters.
