Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in the Weekly Photo Challenge? Just take a photo this week that is your interpretation of the theme and post it in this thread. This challenge is all about getting you out there (or inside) with your camera and shooting something you perhaps wouldn't normally photograph. Have some fun experimenting!
The rules are simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping.

Hasn't been too cold here - mostly damp and dull - but we did get a little snow yesterday and the sun did come out today so took the camera on a morning walk round a local lake. Was good to see shadows of the trees on the snow-covered lake for a change. Did do some tweaking in ON1 Effects to try to make it look a bit cooler (a preset called cool and crisp). Tony

Was driving past a plant that makes liquid hydrogen today and took a shot of one of the storage tanks - the temperature of liquid hydrogen in that tank is −423°F/−253°C - now that is Cold! Makes the outside temperature today (20°F/-7°C) seem quite mild! Tony

Too cold for swimming in the Mississippi today. Bob, great shot! The Mighty Mississippi does look and feel cold. You captured a very typical day in the Midwest winter with its gray skies. Well done!

Tony Tony, beautiful composition -- with the shadows of the trees on the snow-covered lake and the leading line created by the trees on the bank of the lake. Well done!

A little ice on the waters edge Frank, the ice you captured in your shot says it all -- It is COLD! Great composition and DOF! I am shivering from just looking at your image.

I love how the storage tank is framed by the trees on the sides of the frame and the grass(?) on the ground.

My girls have had to help me out this time. This has turned out smaller than expected. The inset photo has the word Muu..uum on it.

Better late than never... Andy, I quite agree.
Beautiful composition! I really like how you naturally framed the "cold" elements. Great job!
