Yellow and green - Hmmm.... Many people say that the bright yellow of oilseed rape fields sits well in the green countryside. Not too sure that I find these great chunks of gaudy yellow enhance their backdrop of the North Downs in Surrey.

Brenda, you got two great shots here! I really like the first shot, the one with the yellow of the oilseed rape fields being broken up by the green of the trees and bushes. Well done! |

Funnily enough we're also currently in the Surrey Hills in the UK and did think of taking a picture of the rapeseed fields (aka canola to us Canadians). Today though we were in the Isabella Plantation in Richmond Park where the azaleas were spectacular but was also impressed by the complementary colours of a pair of mandarin ducks - the gaudy male and the more subdued female. but I have to include the azaleas Tony Tony, two beautiful images! I really like your capture of the azalea bushes with their colors being reflected in the water. Great job! |
