Our members have been busy this week, with a wonderful mix of colourful and artistic additions to the gallery, which made choosing a winner even more difficult. After much deliberation I settled on these: Hatchet Pond Sunrise 2 by ScaniaScania posted several versions of Hatchet Lake but this one is my favourite - the rays of sunlight over the water are nicely captured without blowing out the detail in the clouds. Intensity by SrmomentPat has delighted us with many beautiful bird photos and this is yet another example. The detail in the feathers is just enough to make the little hummingbird stand out from the lovely textured background Main Street by DrJoeRogersI have been experimenting with various Topaz plugins recently so this example of the Buzsim filter got my attention. I think there is just the right amount of the effect, its not over-the-top at all. Sunflowers by PeteBHere is another example of artistic techniques, and the painterly effect applied to this busy colourful street fair is perfect for this image. IMAGE OF THE WEEK - Sitting Pretty by Sydney
Week after week you delight us with your colourful eye popping images - this one is an absolute stunner, as soon as I saw it I knew it was a winner.

What a wonderful delight to wake up and see that my rainbow lorikeet was selected as IOW, especially given that were so many terrific entries in the galleries this week. Wonderful IOW this week. Lorikeets seem more vibrant in the southern hemisphere than here. Kudos to all the other winners and a thank-you for including my image as an honorable mention. Joe

Main Street by DrJoeRogers.
Why am I getting a butterfly on flowers - titled ---- Butterfly_by_Kimberlie_Tarlton, when I click the link?

Main Street by DrJoeRogers. Why am I getting a butterfly on flowers - titled ---- Butterfly_by_Kimberlie_Tarlton, when I click the link? Hmm, that is odd, I get the same using Google Chrome. Additionally, the image from Sciana is no longer showing.

As you may know, I am on Firefox, Simone. Like you, too, Scania's link is blank for me.

Don't know for sure but perhaps Joe's butterfly was one he had downloaded from the internet to add to his flowers? I have no problems with Scania's link....using Chrome.

Nope, still get "This photo is no longer available", which tells me the photo was deleted from the hosting site, which I believe to be Flickr, as the message I get is from Yahoo.
