Hi everyone,
Would you like to participate in this challenge? Just post a photo or photos which will be your interpretation of the theme.
The rules are rather simple.
Your photo(s) should be your own, i.e., they should not have been taken by someone else. Your photo(s) should be taken during the week of the theme. You are allowed to do some photoshopping. You are to experiment and, most of all, have fun.

Why do all the Photo Themes always come a week late for me? Last week I shot some beautiful pictures of the Dead Sea....this week, judging by the weather here in the UK, you're going to get treated to a puddle of rainwater!! Bayla

Bayla I'm sure no one would object to you bending the rules so we can see the Dead Sea! Wish you'd send some puddles over here - we need some rainwater! Tony

Well I came out of the supermarket about half an hour ago to discover that there had been an absolute deluge whilst I was shopping & I had to negotiate a huge puddle that had pooled by the entrance: Bayla

That winter jacket doesn't look very springlike either! Would also love to see your Dead Sea pix.

As requested here is my Dead Sea image taken last week. It's actually four pictures stitched together in Photomerge.

Bayla -- That's a HUGE puddle, perfect for this theme. I love the reflections.
Stezza -- Beautiful image. I was hoping someone would capture the ocean and you did it.
Sydney -- This is very interesting. You were really thinking out of the box here. This is not your usual "body of water".
Bayla -- You won't be penalized for breaking the rules with your Dead Sea image. What a panorama! Thanks for sharing!

That last Polar Vortex turned the pond into an ice cube, leaving the little Scuba guy and mermaid high and dry. This is essentially three bodies of water. ;-) Thanks for the theme Sepiana! Bill

This is a shot of the Tasman Sea. People can be seen on the right swimming at Australia's most iconic beach, Bondi.

As requested here is my Dead Sea image taken last week. It's actually four pictures stitched together in Photomerge. Bayla Off Topic: hope this is seen as food for thought and not criticism. One of my bugbears is "crooked" and low-contrast photos, so I cannot resist to make a suggestion on how I think you could improve your photo. I downloaded your photo and opened it in PSE10. Immediately the histogram conformed what my eyes were telling me - the photo has low contrast. Maybe it was a foggy or hazy time of day. I did a quick and simple tweak by adjusting the individual channels in a Levels adjustment layer to bring out the full tonal range of your image and hence increase the contrast. I also used the Straighten tool to level the horizon. Below is my quick and simple edited version of your photo. If you are interested, here is a very good article on " Learning To Love Levels." Hope this helps

Hope this helps Dave, Thanks for attempting to improve my picture. I agree that crooked horizons are a visual nuisance, but in this case there is no horizon. The opposite side of the Dead Sea from where I was stood you can see mountains and a crooked shoreline. Yes, it was extremely hazy, I think probably due to the sulphur in the area - as soon as you wind down the window the smell hits you. It was also very hot - 37°C (over 98°F) and personally, I think my image looks like it was - hot & hazy! Yours, whilst maybe technically better (I chose not to pull back the slider in Levels) makes it look like it was a much cooler day. It boils down to personal preference I guess! Bayla
