Still looking... Wow - didn't realize finding ornaments to fill with photos would be so difficult. I know I had some at one time...It looks like the site Helen mentioned earlier -- shutterstock -- has lots of transparent Christmas baubles. Many of the files will allow for the insertion of your own photo.

The only thing is they are very expensive..... Off to volunteering this morning in case anyone adds to this post....will check when I get home.

Helen, as you had said earlier, . . .
I think I am looking for the easiest way to create a professional looking card. I don't have a problem with paying for something if it will make the card creation look more professional. I thought Shutterstock would be the way to go. The photos on that site are usually very high quality.
Just another thought. You could check Fotofolia by Adobe. They may not be very expensive.

Sepiana, in order to use one from Shutterstock I would have to purchase a plan.....the cheapest was $29. if I remember correctly.......that would give me the option to download 5 images....being I only want one, I thought that would be too much. However, Fotofolia gives me the option to try some for free and their quality looks to be very good. Will explore that after the kids finally decide on what picture they would like me to use. Thanks for your help.

There are a whole lot of nice ornaments at Shutterstock, but I was trying to find freebies. Then, I was trying to find Wendy Williams's transparent ornament in my files. She was always the go-to person for anything wonderful. She was such a talented lady.

Thanks for your help. Helen, you are most welcome! Fotofolia seems to offer a better deal. Also, I am not sure but I think Adobe integrated Fotofolia into the Creative Cloud.
As a side note, . . . Adobe supposedly paid 800 million dollars (in cash) to acquire Fotofolia. Unbelievable!

Thank you, Frank! I am now all over the place as to what I'm going to do. Christell was also kind enough to share some things with me and I have the Fotofolia site tucked away in the back of my brain, too. I now need the kids to decide on the picture they want me to use. I did try the star with one of the pictures I have.

The star looks great. I am on more familiar ground now. Couldn't resist a bauble.

I have made a sort of template for a bauble into which a picture can be inserted. Made in Photoshop, where the layers go into the right position when dragged (as described below). I tested it in PSE 14 where the dragging does not quite put every layer into the correct position, so the stacking has to be manually adjusted, or perhaps the place command has to be used. I use PSE too rarely to give instructions on this.
If you like it, everyone is welcome to use it. The first image is the finished version The next 3 assemble into the template. The instructions can also be downloaded. They are a .jpg image.
I just hope this works, I have never done anything like this before. But it's really less complicated than it sounds.

I back-tested my own post and all downloads worked and assembled as advertised (i.e. as I advertised)
Please ask if there are any questions.
